Will ex girlfriend forgive & move past issue?

Recently had a breakup out of serious relationship(in our 30's, 4 months in, planning on living together & she had stared asking about kids). we had a few differences but were able to talk them out. But we had a falling out where i used bad judgment(made a mistake) that reminded her of her past(was told after the fact). She felt like i had disregarded her feeling & body. I felt like i had used bad judgment/made a mistake & she over reacted. As strong as our relationship was I was surprised she decided to break it off. We never go a chance to talk after. i sent her messages on computer & texts trying to explain & get her to understand my view. She was stuck on her stance. i know we have no chance of getting back together unless she change her view & believes in me more & still has feelings for me. In time can a woman that feels like she has been done wrong(not cheated on) realize that she has made a mistake or over reacted & forgive? i do miss her very much & have some guilt but am angry at her for the way things went down. i feel like sh handled problem poorly. Is there chance for recovery?
