What was your worst experience that...?

We were on our way to visit my MIL some 250 miles away from our own house. We were on the motorway and a van in front stopped suddenly. My husband had to wrench the car round to avoid running into the back of the van, our car spun on the road and we ended up on the side of the road, facing into the traffic the wrong way. We were very lucky to escape without a scratch.
