Who has the sickle cell trait?

I heard that majority of the people who carry the trait are African-Americans, Greeks, and Macedonians, but are there any other ethnic groups that carry the trait? ALSO, are there DIFFERENT versions of the trait? Like for example is there a sickle-cell trait that ONLY African-Americans get, a version that only Greeks get, and a version only Macedonians get? Or is the trait the same for any ethnic group that has it?
